How can I be sure that MYOB won't use the activation/confirmationservice to force me to upgrade my software? The process of activation/confirmation is independent of any changesto the software in the future. MYOB will continue to confirm aparticular version of the software for a minimum period of 6 yearsfrom the first release of the 2004 versions of the MYOB accountingsoftware. We believe that this is a generous period given thesubstantial changes to business regulations and processes that occurin that period. We believe that every business will have changed theirbusiness needs, their software and their computer system during this period. How can I be sure that MYOB won't at some point in the futurechoose to charge for the process of validation?MYOB won't ever charge a fee for the process of validating yourcompany file. To do so would go against our company values and damageour good reputation.
How do I deactivate a company file?To deactivate a company file, contact our Sales Advice team on 080060 69 62. You will still have read-only access to the file, allowingyou to view data, print reports etc.
How do I find the Product Acivation code that is needed by the ATO for Single Touch Payroll. I went ionot the life chat but after waiting for a long time I rang the MYOB help line. There was a wait there so I opted for a call back.
When I received the call back I was told that I needed to upgrade my program but when I prodded more I was eventually told that I could use the version I'm on but it would be slower. I then asked what the Product activation code was - was it compay specific, MYOB specific, Serial number specific or what. I was toild he didn't know the answer to that and went off a couple of times to find out but came back with nothing.
He then put me on hold. Fast forward onearly one and a half hours and I'm still on hold so not sure if he has forgotten me or put me in a very long wait queue - either way its totally unacceptable. Come on MYOB - get your act into gear. It was a simple question.
Maybe someone else can help me with this? HiYour Software ID number required to nominate MYOB as your online software provider for Single Touch Payroll can be obtained through completing the Payroll reporting setup process in your AccountRight 2019 or MYOB Essentials software.Help Articles: Setting up Single Touch Payroll Reporting: would be able to assist with the setting up of your software for Payroll reporting/STP and notifying the ATO.Do note that if you are on AccountRight Classic (v19) you would be looking at upgrading to AccountRight 2019 to be able to lodge your pays with the ATO through Payroll reporting. See for more information on that migration process. HiAccountRight 2018.2.1 was last year's compliance update and while it did contain a Payroll reporting feature it was a transition version that allows clients to set up payroll categories but not connect to the ATO.As such, we do recommend that you upgrade your software to the latest version (AccountRight 2019.2) to successfully connect to the ATO and lodge your pays. Help Article: would be able to assist with that process. However, I do note that as you are not an AccountRight Live Subscriber you are not entitled to that version.
If you would like to upgrade to that AccountRight 2019.2 version and subsequently lodge your pays with the ATO through AccountRight an AccountRight Subscription would need to be in place for that. I'm happy to arrange for one of our team to reach out to yourself to arrange for that AccountRight Subscription to be set up. Do let us know if the best contact number is the one that ends in 5800 so we can arrange for that? HiYour STP Software ID required to lodge your pays with the ATO is available after going through the Connect to the ATO process in later versions of the software (AccountRight 2018.3 or later).
As you are not on active AccountRight subscription you would not be entitled to use those later versions and thus would not be able to Connect to the ATO process to generate that number. If you do wish to lodge your pays with AccountRight to the ATO an AccountRight subscription would need to be in place. As indicated in my previous message, I'm happy to arrange for one of the team to get in touch to discuss your options in getting that active AccountRight subscription in place so you can use that Payroll reporting feature.
